Idaho State Requirement Details for Real Estate Continuing Education
Renewal Date: Every 2 years
Hours Required: 12 elective hours and 2 ID Core courses
- 2 unique Idaho Commission Core courses
- 12 hours – Elective hours

Please note that this 12 hours must be post-license education for salespersons renewing their license on active status for the first time or activating their license for the first time after the expiration of their initial licensing period.

Reporting: The state requires schools to report course completions within five business days from the course completion date. Course completions will be reported within this time frame.
Expiration Date of Course: Course expiration dates vary by course but are generally one year after order date. Each individual course will have an expiration date listed in your account.
Final Exams: Final exams must be passed with at least a 75% and may be taken a maximum of 2 times. If the exam is not passed the second time, the licensee must re-enroll at no cost (by contacting customer support) and retake the entire course, including the final exam.
Certificates: Immediately upon real estate course completion, The CE Shop will provide students with an electronic copy of the course certificate of completion. Certificates will remain in your account for a minimum of five years, should you need additional copies at a later time. Please refer to your renewal application to determine if you need to submit your certificate(s) of completion with your renewal. Course completion dates are recorded using Central Standard Time. Please note that the date on your certificate of completion will reflect this.
License Renewal Process: The process to renew in this state is to log in to the licensing system online and follow the prompts to renew.
Post-Licensing Requirements: 12 hours of post-licensing education consisting of 8 hours of PL Fundamentals and 4 hours of a PL module of choice, plus 2 different Idaho core courses. This requirement applies to any Salesperson who has not yet renewed the license one time on active status.
